Croft Principal Engineer, Adam McConaghy, who is the company lead upon package leak testing, recently passed the ASNT Basic and Method exams and achieved ASNT NDT Level III certification. This significant milestone, which follows Adam’s recent award of Chartered Engineer status, presently makes Adam one of very few engineers within the UK to hold ASNT Level III Leak Testing certification.

Croft Associates have just launched a further manufacturing campaign for a significant tranche of 3979 LS Safkegs in response to further increased demand from our clients in the radiopharmaceutical industry. 

Croft meet major milestone with the completed assembly of the initial 4087A Safkeg prototype

This is a new larger Safkeg within the Croft range of packagings, successfully developed and manufactured during the challenging environment of the last 18 months. In particular thanks to our principal manufacturing partners JGC Engineering and Oxford Engineering for the timely completion of manufacture.

Croft completes the detailed design analysis of a new large cavity Safkeg Type B(U)F packaging design

Work has now commenced on prototype manufacture with regulatory test programme scheduled for Q4 2021.

Croft completes Safshield 2773D Type B(U) packaging design development for the repatriation of Cs-137 sources.

The application has now been submitted to the UK regulator with the license expected to be issued in Q1 2021.

Safkeg HS 3977A – Croft completes the third production run of HS Safkegs for the shipment of Mo-99 for use in nuclear medicine procedures

Croft 2896 Saftainer enables Magnox’s Nuclear Materials Transport Project to reach a significant milestone by safely shipping 1000 Concrete Lined Drums from Harwell to Sellafield

The CLDs are shipped in the Croft designed, and supplied, 2896 Saftainers, modified to ensure safe handling of the CLDs. Croft have provided continued support and maintenance to enable this milestone to be reached. Working with the Magnox Project Manager to ensure minimal disruption to scheduled shipments. We look forward to continuing to support Magnox for the remaining 1300 CLDs.
