New Training Programme for Pre-Shipment Leakage Testing of Radioactive Material Transport Packages

Croft Associates is pleased to offer a specialist training programme designed to help organisations carry out pre-shipment leakage testing safely, correctly, and in line with regulatory requirements. This is particularly relevant for organisations working with Type B packages, where leak testing is a critical part of transport safety and compliance.

The course covers:
• Leakage testing principles
• Relevant regulatory requirements (ISO 12807 & ANSI N14.5)
• Practical test setup
• Interpretation of results
• Documentation and common testing issues

Training can also be delivered as a limited-scope certification programme aligned with SNT-TC-1A, making it well suited to operators carrying out a defined range of leak tests rather than full-scope NDT activities.

Courses are available on-site or at Croft’s training facilities, and content can be adapted to specific package designs, procedures, and operational requirements.

Croft also offer training for leak tests carried out at maintenance, including Bubble Leak Testing and Mass Spectrometer Leak Testing.
