Torque Tool PN 3980 has been developed for tightening the closure lid of Contaminant Can design number 2851 to the predetermined torque setting defined in the packing and handling instructions, as required by the transport approval licence.

The Torque Tool is offered as a direct replacement for hook and pin spanners.  This single unit is designed to provide a safe and repeatable means of tightening container can closure lid to the specified closure torque by a single operator.

The Torque Tool is preset before delivery to the specified torque for the 2851 Containment Can and supplied with a certificate of calibration.  The  tool also incorporates a reversible ratchet for removing can lids.  Information on torque devices outside this range can be provided on request.
